Mumbai, June 13 (IANS) The Indian equity markets closed in the red Friday. The 30-share benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the Sensex, opened at 15,327.10 points and touched a low of 15,135.81 before closing at 15,189.62. It went down by 60.58 points or 0.40 percent compared to its closing figure Thursday.
The S&P Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange, which opened at 4,539.50 points, closed at 4,517.10 points, down 22.25 points or 0.49 percent from its previous close.
