Equipment foundation of Salboni project by December
September 8th, 2010 - 9:17 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Sep 8 (IANS) Steel manufacturer JSW Bengal Steel expects equipment foundation of the Salboni project in West Midnapore district of West Bengal to begin in December, a top official said here Wednesday.
“Equipment foundation for the project, which was to start in October, will now take place in December,” Biswadip Gupta, joint managing director and chief executive officer of the company told reporters on the sidelines of a seminar organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry.
The JSW Bengal Steel is constructing the 10-million tonne West Bengal project. JSW Bengal Steel is promoted by Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel Ltd, which holds 89 percent of the equity capital. The state government owns the balance 11 percent.
The company would invest Rs.35,000 crore in the project.
