New Delhi, Nov 27 (ANI): The visiting England cricket squad has suspended rest of its tour following last nights multiple terror strikes in Mumbai in which more than 100 people are feared so far.
According to England team sources, the decision was taken after consulting their countrys foreign ministry, which reportedly advised them to immediately suspend the tour and return home.
The team is expected to fly back home by the evening, said sources close to the England cricket team.
Meanwhile, in a related development, the BCCI also cancelled the Twenty20 Champions League, involving top eight teams, which was going to start on December 3. the decision was taken at a Board meeting this morning.
The terror attacks are said to be the largest of its kind in the countrys history. Besides more than 100 people killed, more than 300 are said to be injured, and many still kept hostage by terrorists at different places in the countrys financial capital. (ANI)
