Emirates plane makes emergency landing at Mumbai airport (Lead)
February 7th, 2010 - 4:43 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Feb 7 (IANS) An Emirates airline plane enroute to Dubai made an emergency landing at the Mumbai airport Sunday after an anonymous caller rang up to say that there were terrorists onboard. Two people have been detained, an airport official said.
The Emirates Mumbai-Dubai flight EK-502, carrying about 200 passengers, made an emergency landing immediately after take off following the anonymous call 9.30 a.m.
“One of the persons detained has been identified as Shahbaz Khan,” the airport official said.
