Eleventh Suicide In A Year In Chinese Factory

man1Shenzhen, China, May 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Yet another suicide has taken place in the Chinese factory of Foxconn Technology Group, on Wednesday. The situation is becoming eerie with the anew factory havering witnessed ten other similar suicide cases in the short span of the last twelve months. In fact, the latest case can also be called somewhat ironical, with the Chairman of the company, Terry Gou, just having visited the factory in order to investigate the mysterious occurrences, and also to apologize to the rest of the workers about the situation. In fact, the latest suicide occurred less than twelve hours after Terry Gou had visited the factory. The details of the incident have not been given out by the police.

The police have not given out the details of the incident, including the name of the worker. All that can be known about him is that he was 23 years of age, and that is surname was He. Apparently, he had jumped off a balcony of the seventh floor of one of the dormitory buildings of the factory, and by the time the police reached him, he was already dead. No further details have been released by the police, and no insights are available as to why he committed suicide.

However, Apple, HP and Del have confirmed that they would be investigation into the matter. However, fingers are being pointed at the working conditions of the factory, something which has long since been criticized, and even more so with the deaths of eleven employees committing suicide in the same factory. However, the company has since attempted to make certain improvements in the working conditions.
