July 13th, 2009 - 6:53 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Dubai, July 13 (IANS) The next edition of the Dubai Airshow, considered as the fastest growing airshow in the world, will feature some top brands in the aerospace industry this time, the organisers have said.
Airbus with the EADS group will join the Dubai-based international airline Emirates during the biennial show, for which a new exhibition area has been developed to accommodate the unprecedented number of participants and visitors, WAM news agency reported.
Lufthansa Technik, TAP Maintenance & Engineering, Air France Industries KLM E&M, Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), Dubai Airports and Dubai World Central - Aviation City are among the other participants which will showcase their products and services at the new exhibition area, the Emirates Hall, named after its host and sponsor Emirates Airline.
The new hall provides an additional 5,000 sq metre of space, an increased Press Centre and an extra registration building to accommodate trade visitor traffic.
Alison Weller, Director of airshow organiser F&E Aerospace, expressed her optimism for a successful show this year. The airshow runs from Nov 14-19.
“The aerospace industry has undoubtedly been affected by the economic downturn over the past few months. However, with the ambitious orders made at the recent Paris Air Show, primarily by top aviation players in the Middle East, I believe the global aerospace industry can look to this region for future indications of recovery,” she said.
The airshow is organised by F&E Aerospace in association with Dubai Airports, the government of Dubai and UAE Armed Forces.
