Dubai airport handled four mn people in August
September 27th, 2011 - 12:52 am ICT by IANSDubai, Sep 26 (IANS/WAM) The Dubai International Airport handled a total of 4,019,230 passengers in August, according to official statistics.
The year-on-year passenger traffic rose eight percent to 33.3 million, compared to 30.9 million in 2010, the data said.
However, numbers in the Middle East routes were down 65,000 compared to a year ago because of “instability in some destinations” in the region.
Air freight volumes slumped 7.9 percent. The airport handled 182,781 tonnes of cargo in August compared to 198,543 a year ago.
