Dinosaur fossil park to come up in Madhya Pradesh
December 17th, 2010 - 10:41 pm ICT by IANSBhopal, Dec 17 (IANS) A National Dinosaur Fossil Park is coming up in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district where over 100 dinosaur eggs in fossil form were found, officials said Friday. The park will be spread over 89.740 hectare forest area near Bagh Caves, 80 km from Dhar town, the district headquarters, where fossils of more than 100 dinosaur eggs were found in 2006.
Scientists have estimated these fossils to be around 6.5 crore to 7 crore years old. Apart from eggs, fossils of dinosaur nests have also been found in the area.
