delta1Jan 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The economic recession of 2008 has affected all the companies and every individual has experienced the heat of the global meltdown. Though several months have passed after the financial downturn, the airline industries have not recovered from its effects. They have adopted several measures to keep their business running after this economic crisis. Hiking airfare and charging baggage fees are among the measures that the airline companies have adopted to survive in this business. In a recent report, it has been stated that Delta Airlines has once again decided to hike their baggage fees yet they have not mentioned the reason for it.

Increasing the baggage charges once again has been quite annoying for the frequent travelers. Someone who would travel in the carriers of this airline will have to note the fees carefully as the increase is uneven. As per the reports, if a person pays the baggage fees in advance, via internet, then he would have to pay $23 for the first bag. For the second bag, he will have to pay $32.

The reports indicate that a person who would pay the baggage charges in the airport would have to give $25 for the first bag and $35 for the second bag. Reports indicate that Delta airlines have made a significant increase in their baggage fees and it be effective immediately. Hiking the baggage charges would affect people, who are trying to check their budget after the financial turmoil. However, the airlines authorities have not made any comment on this issue. It is also not known whether the airline companies would reduce the luggage fees once their financial condition recovers.
