January 29th, 2011 - 12:04 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 28 (IANS) A group of ministers (GoM) of the Delhi cabinet set up to consider all aspects of fixing development charges on unauthorised colonies for their regularisation, Friday reached consensus at keeping the charges at the minimum level. The meeting, chaired by Urban Development Minister A.K. Walia, came to this conclusion in view of the nature of unauthorised colonies and their owners coming from the poor families and weaker sections of the society.
The meeting was attended by Public Work Department Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan, Labour Minister Mangat Ram Singhal, and officials including Urban Development Principal Secretary R.K. Srivastava, Municipal Corporation of Delhi’s (MCD) engineer-in-chief Ravi Dass and senior officers from other departments.
