Delhi Metro records highest ridership Monday
July 27th, 2010 - 8:01 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 27 (IANS) The Delhi Metro recorded its highest ridership Monday with over 12 lakh commuters using the modern transport system.
According to a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) spokesperson, a total of 1,205,898 people used the metro service.
While about 588,975 commuters used the Dwarka Sector 9-Noida City Centre (Line 3) and Yamuna Bank-Anand Vihar corridor (Line 4) stretch, 321,889 people rode Metro’s Line 2 (Central Secretariat-Jahangirpuri line).
About 11.34 lakh passengers used the metro service May 24.
