Delhi celebrates ‘Festive Hong Kong Week’
October 26th, 2010 - 11:51 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 26 (IANS) Brightly coloured decor and a fascinating lion dance performance kicked off the “Festive Hong Kong Week” here Tuesday.
Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), the six day consumer fair from Oct 26 will be held at the Select City Walk mall in Saket area of south Delhi. It will showcase the diverse assortment of unique traditional Chinese festivals and western cultural celebrations.
“The festival aims to further elevate Hong Kong’s image as the event capital of Asia and create greater business opportunities for the tourism, retail, dining and services sectors of the city,” said an official of the HKTB.
A major highlight of the event is a painting exhibition by Swaroop Mukerji, showcasing his latest series on Hong Kong.
Revelers visiting the mall this week can expect cultural presentations, premium giveaways, fun games and great deals on tour packages.
