Cuban tourism booms for sixth year in a row
November 2nd, 2009 - 9:09 pm ICT by IANSHavana, Nov 2 (Prensa Latina) Cuba has seen two million tourists coming from all over the world to the country’s tourist destinations for sixth year in a row, a tourism ministry report said.
This time the record has been achieved 15 days earlier than in 2008, the report said Saturday.
The report claimed to have achieved the record amid the world financial and health crisis that made the World Tourism Organisation forecast a general five percent decline in tourists’ arrival in Cuba.
Cuba offers the tourist peace, security and confidence. The tourists’ arrival has been increasing at the rate of 3.9 percent despite the tourism organisation’s forecast, the report added.
