Cox Communications Offering 3D Telecast Of Yankees Game

cox_logoJuly 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Cox Communications is going to offer the major League Baseball games on July 10 and 11 in 3D format. The game will be played between the two teams - Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees. The game will be aired by YES Network 3D in Meriden and Manchester. The users who have 3D HDTVs at their home are the lucky ones. As for those who do not have 3D TVs they can visit the selected Best Buy stores in both Meriden and Manchester. The 3D Yankees game will be telecast again on July 11. Roger Sokolosky the VP of sales in Cox New England said that the company is really happy to offer this facility to its customers. According to him it will be an awesome experience for the baseball freaks.

The Yankees match that will be telecast in 3D and can be watched on Yes 3D. The users need to have a latest HDTV that is capable of displaying 3D images and footages. They will also need a HD/DVR receiving set. Of course the viewers will need to use the 3D glass sets supplied by the TV maker. The HD receiver also should be linked with the 3DTV with a HDMI cable. Thereafter the users will have to tune to the channel that is broadcasting the game. Some users will have to set the viewing format to 3DTV mode on their TVs depending on the settings.

The 3D fever that has gripped Hollywood by storm is yet to cast its spell on the TV industry in a big way. The effort of Cox and Yes3D may motivate other service providers to join the bandwagon.
