CMC to offer Toonz courses in animation, multimedia
May 11th, 2010 - 4:36 pm ICT by IANSThiruvananthapuram, May 11 (IANS) Toonz Academy, the training arm of city-based animation company, Toonz Animation India, Tuesday entered into a strategic alliance with CMC Limited, the education consulting division of Tata Consultancy Services.
According to the agreement signed by the two firms, CMC will offer courses designed by Toonz in the fields of animation, digital arts and multimedia in 15 select centres initially.
CMC will offer the industry-relevant courses later in all its centres in the eastern and southern regions of the country.
“We are excited about the possibility of entering the booming animation and digital arts education segment. The tie up with Toonz will give us the head start,” said Rajendra Prasad, education and training head at CMC.
Toonz Academy president N. Radhakrishnan Nair said the tie-up will help both organizations to leverage each other’s strengths and offer the best quality education across India.
Set up in 2002, the academy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toonz Entertainment, Singapore, the parent company of the Toonz Group.
