China releases list of top 500 private companies
October 12th, 2010 - 8:49 pm ICT by IANSBeijing, Oct 12 (IANS) A list of China’s top 500 private companies in 2010 was released Tuesday with Jiangsu Shagang Group topping the list, a media report said.
With a revenue of 146 billion yuan ($21.9 billion), the Jiangsu group topped the list for the second year in a row, China Daily reported.
The Suning Appliance Co. Ltd., with 117 billion yuan, and Lenovo Group Ltd., with 106 billion yuan, in that order ranked second and third.
The results of the research on domestic private enterprises were jointly released by China Non-Governmental Enterprise Directors Association and Enterprises Development and Research Centre of China Academy of Management Science.
The revenue of the top 500 private enterprises totalled 4.7 trillion yuan, up 15.38 percent year-on-year. Total assets amounted to 3.9 trillion yuan, a growth of 38.76 percent year-on-year, while fixed assets totalled 1.7 trillion yuan, up 21.75 percent year-on-year.
