China launches its NASDAQ-style market
October 23rd, 2009 - 4:15 pm ICT by IANSShenzhen, Oct 23 (IANS) A NASDAQ-style market for growth enterprises was launched here Friday, chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission Shang Fulin said.
Called `ChiNext’, the market stands for ChinaNext, referring to Chinese enterprises of the next generation, Xinhua news agency reported.
The first batch of 28 enterprises will get listed and start trading next Friday.
