Washington, Mar 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The fact that the Chief Executive Officers of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America have been paid a salary of $1 million so far is being questioned by some of the Senators, who claim that the fee is an absurdly high one. The Senators are questioning the validity of the provision, claiming that the Chief Executive Officers should not be allowed to take away home the money that could have otherwise been used in a number of different channels.
The questions over the fee structure of the charity organization, one of the biggest in the whole of the United States, have been raised at a time when a bill was about to be moved through the Houses, one that would have granted the establishment $425 millions. A letter was sent to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, asking them to provide detailed information about the compensations that they incur. The move was taken after reports came to the notice of the federal officers that the organization spent a huge amount, in millions, on expenses like travel, lobbying and national charity award grants, and all these excluding the compensations provided to the executives.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of America consists of about 4,300 local establishments, and supports about 4.8million children. However, it has also come to the notice of the federal officers that the organization has been closing down a number of local clubs for deficit in funding, something that is highly unusual for a federally funded charity organization. The fact stings even more because of the compensations provided to the executives, which is a sure sign of its economic well being.

Great story - you don’t name the CEO in question, the upset Senators, or even the number of clubs closed in 2010 or 2009. Basic journalism actually does have some minimal requirements, so please don’t let this happen again.
