CESC’s net profit up 23.02 percent in Q2
November 4th, 2010 - 12:34 am ICT by IANSKolkata, Nov 3 (IANS) Power utility CESC’S net profit for the second quarter of the current (2010-11) fiscal has shot up to Rs.155 crore, registering a growth of 23.02 percent over the corresponding figure a year back.
The company’s profit after tax stood at Rs.126 crore for the quarter ending September last year.
The company’s total income has increased by 13.91 percent to Rs.1,122 crore, as per the second quarter results for the current fiscal announced Wednesday.
CESC’S revenues also jumped by 14.8 percent to Rs.1,090 crore from Rs.949 crore in the second quarter of last fiscal.
