Buy a book, win a Nano
October 9th, 2010 - 7:18 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 9 (IANS) What is the easiest way to own a Nano, the Rs.1 lakh family car that is meant to change the dynamics of Indian roads?
Grab a copy of the book “Small Wonder: The Making of Nano” from any bookstore, fill up a form and take part in the “Grab a Copy, Win a Nano” contest.
The contest is the first phase of the pre-release publicity blitz mounted by Westland Ltd to promote the book and create awareness about the product.
“The contest is an attempt by Westland to invite more people to join the Nano journey. We are looking at presenting the journey to a wider section of the audience,” Gautam Padmanabhan, chief executive officer of Westland, told reporters.
“Small Wonder: The Making of Nano”, written by Philip Chacko, Christabelle Noronha and Sujata Agrawal, chronicles the events that preceded the birth of Nano.
The book is an attempt to capture how the Tata group has fulfilled the vision of an affordable car.
“We are looking at presenting this journey to a wider audience through this book,” Padmanabhan said.
Published by Westland, the book tells the story of how India’s largest automobile company overcame countless technological, logistical and political challenges to bring into production what has been hailed as the world’s most affordable motor car.
The contest will end Nov 30 and the results will be declared in December.
