- New Delhi, Nov 15 (IANS) Business experts from across the country will meet in the national capital Monday to discuss green job opportunities available in India.
The initiative ‘Rework India’ by NGO Youth Entrepreneurship and Sustainability (YES) and Drishtee is an effort to discuss how investors and the government can support green jobs for youth in India.
The meeting will engage 100 key stakeholders from all over India, comprising business leaders, political decision makers, social entrepreneurs, investors, scientists, development experts and others who want to work with youth innovators to advance collaborations solutions and find ways to support existing green initiatives in India with youth networks.
“Rework India is bringing together a number of key Indian partners who are already advancing promising initiatives, green business models and technologies, and seeks to leverage and support their visions by adding youth momentum,” said P.K. Joseph, project director.
The meeting is a part of the preparations for the fifth Global Youth Employment Summit in Sweden 2010, which will set the stage and global agenda for generating two million green livelihoods for young people around the world.
Joseph said that “our goal is to identify the best partners, green business models, and practical ventures across India”.
