The tallest building has just grown taller.
Burj Dubai rated and renowned as the worlds tallest building has now just increased its height and size to edge out competition and consolidate more business for its proprietors.
Burj Dubai is still under construction and when it is finished, it will top the list of the world’s tallest buildings.
Burj Dubai is gigantic tower found in Dubai. The building now is ranking as the tallest building in the worldand is 2,257 feet tall in average height. The tower is being developed by developer Emaar. The developer has announced that the tallest skyscraper in the world is now 160 stories tall beating all.
Contractor Emaar begun constructing Burj Dubai in 2004 and has plans scheduled to be finished in September 2009. Emaar saw the skyscraper in April 2007, reach 1,553 feet hence beating the Taipei 101 tower to take the place of the tallest building in the world.
In April 2008, Emaar announced that Burj Dubai had attained the status of the tallest structure in the world. In his statement, Emaar said that Burj Dubai had become the tallest man-made structure on Earth after gaining heights higher than the 2,063-foot KVLY-TV mast in North Dakota. The tower is still be constructed and the contractor says he was optimistic to finish by 2008 but that the “finishing touches” stalled the schedule up to next year. Dubai construction engineers are projecting that contractor Emaar is about to make Burj Dubai 900m tall an equivalent of 2,953 feet to make the tower a historical phenomenon.
