BSNL offers free installation to new broadband customers
March 29th, 2010 - 3:06 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 29 (IANS) State-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) will offer free installation and unlimited data download for the first 15 days to customers who subscribe to its landline-based broadband service by March 31.
“BSNL will offer free installation, free broadband usage for first 15 days at speeds upto 2 mbps, free music and video on demand, free games on demand and free web conferencing services for two months for customers who apply for landline-based broadband connection up to March 31, 2010,” it said in a statement.
Customers, however, will have to pay a security amount and modem rentals.
The company has several new tariff plans, both for limited and unlimited usage. The plans are customised for different segments like home, enterprise, office, business and institutions. The customers will get Internet speed according to the plans they have opted for.
BSNL offers the highest broadband speed up to 24 mbps on wireline broadband, the statement claimed.
