Boeing names new Vice President for Boeing Military Aircraft India

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI (BNO NEWS) – Boeing appointed a new Vice President for Boeing Military Aircraft India (BMA), in order to position the business for further growth in the rapidly in the evolving Indian defense industry, the company announced on Friday.

Bob Gower was appointed as the new Vice President for the BMA India. He will expand and manage the product line in the Asian country. The products that will be available in India include P-8I, F/A-18IN, C-17, Apache and Chinook.

Gower will be supported by Vivek Lall, Vice President and India country head for Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), will continue to be responsible for all BDS activities in the country.

“Our strategy for India is more than just platform sales. We are here for the long term and are committed to sharing knowledge, resources and technology with our partners for the growth and benefit of the aerospace and defense industry in India,” Boeing India President Dinesh Keskar said.

Gower has managed many businesses within BMA. He was the vice-president of F/A-18 and EA-18 programs. He managed a multibillion-dollar business and maintained a perfect record of on-time deliveries.

The new Vice President has also been the vice president of Tanker Programs; the vice president of Supplier Management Operations for BDS; general manager of Navy Missile Systems; director of Supplier Management and Procurement for F/A-18; and director of Process Improvement in the McDonnell Douglas Corporate office.
