BMW- Rolls Royce Recall Could Extend to 350,000 Cars Worldwide
October 2nd, 2010 - 2:18 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonOct 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) BMW recently recalled almost 200,000 luxury cars in the United States in order to fix leaks in the braking system which could develop, causing the brakes to fail. A spokesman announced today that this recall could extend to 350,000 cars globally.
The cars which are effected are the BMWs of the 5 Series, 6 Series and 7 Series vehicles powered by V8 and V12 engines and almost 6,000 Rolls Royce Phantom models. BMW spokesman Frank Strebe stressed today that there have been no reported injuries nor accidents connected to this recall.
The decision of whether or not to recall these cars in worldwide will actually be up to the various headquarters of each country. BMW is offering a voluntary recall in Britain, and also in the United States, since that is the largest market for the cars.
