BlackBerry services limping back to normal
October 13th, 2011 - 10:28 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 13 (IANS) Canadian BlackBerry maker, Research in Motion (RIM) Thursday said its services have been restored in most parts of the world but Canada and Latin America may face a little trouble and it hoped to resume normal services in these areas very soon as well.
“BlackBerry services are operating well globally. BlackBerry support teams continue to monitor the situation around the clock to ensure ongoing service stability,” said RIM in a statement.
“Some customers in Canada and Latin America who are sending messages to other regions may see intermittent message delays. Support teams are actively addressing this,” it added.
BlackBerry services had collapsed in Asia, Europe, Africa, and Middle East Monday evening.
RIM claimed early Tuesday that it had fixed the problem and services have been restored.
However, within a few hours the services collapsed again, causing hardships to the users, many of whom rely on it for their business communication.
Over one million people use BlackBerry cell phones in India.
