Birla Corp on Forbes’ list
October 8th, 2009 - 8:06 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Kolkata, Oct 8 (IANS) Birla Corp, the flagship company of the MP Birla Group, has been included in the “Best Under a Billion” list by the Forbes Magazine.
Altogether 200 companies feature on the list picked up from more than 25,326 publicly listed firms with sales of less than $1 billion in the Asia-Pacific region, a Birla Corp release said Thursday.
Twenty Indian companies feature under the category.
The list has the largest representation of 78 firms from China and Hong Kong, 24 from Japan, and 23 from South Korea. India has been ranked fourth with 20 entries, followed by Australia (18).
