London, Mar 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Natural foods chef Bethenny Frankel has sold off the ‘Skinnygirl’ spirits brand to Beam Global Spirits & Wine.

Under the new deal, Frankel would continue to serve as the developer and marketer of the brand and of course he is expected to show the same level of commitment that drove the brand forward.

With the acquisition of the Skinnygirl brand, Beam Global has raised the number of brands it currently holds. The company is the owner of brands like Beam Bourbon, Canadian Club Whisky, Teacher’s Scotch Whisky, Sauza Tequila, Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Courvoisier Cognac, Cruzan Rum and Hornitos Tequila among others.

Frankel was delighted with the partnership and said that Beam Global was the ideal company to take the brand to the next level. He expects the brand to grow both in the United States and abroad.

The North America president of Global Beam, Bill Newlands, said the Skinnygirl brand has already built strong consumer equity. The brand’s signature product is the Skinnygirl Margarita and according to Newlands, it is most appealing to women who are seeking convenient and low-calorie cocktail.

The financial details of the agreement were not made available to the public.
