Bernie Madoff Has No Remorse, Says Victims ‘Deserved It’

Bernard ‘Bernie’ Madoff is currently serving a 150 year sentence for last years 65 billion dollar Ponzi scheme which he conducted that left several senior citizens with no retirement fund, and no way to support themselves once they are unable to work.
At 71 years of age, he will never see the outside of the prison again, yet he seems to have no regrets.
In a startling article which was written by Steve Fishman in the ‘New York Magazine’, it is clearly evident that Madoff does not feel he has to hide the lack of remorse which he feels any longer. “In fact, he’s a hero for it,” Stve Fishman writes.
KC White, who is in the Butner federal prison where Madoff will live out his days over heard a conversation between Madoff and another inmate who was questioning him about the victims which he swindled out of their hard earned money.
According to White, Madoff stopped laughing and said, “F–k my victims, I carried them for 20 years, and now I’m doing 150 years.” The statement was loud enough for other inmates to overhear as well.
Madoff has almost attained celebrity status in prison, having many followers as well as friends such as former mob boss Carmine Persico and an Israeli spy by the name of Jonathan Pollard. But, as one inmate puts it, “People are friends with you inside for their own benefit, because they want something from you.” It is suspected that some of these men hope to find out whether Madoff has a secret stash of cash.
Madoff absolutely seems to feel as though he has done nothing that his victims did not deserve, even placing blame on them. He exclaimed in such a way that it seems he almost thinks himself to be the victim, “People just kept throwing money at me. Some guy wanted to invest, and if I said no, the guy said, ‘What, I’m not good enough?’ ”
He went on to tell, Shannon Hay, a drug dealer who resides in the same unit as Madoff that he only took money from greedy people.
Hay reveals, “He (Madoff) told me his side. He took money off of people who were rich and greedy and wanted more,” implying that the victims of his 12 year scheme were asking to be robbed.
