Twenty-four post offices in the city have started selling train tickets, China Daily reported Monday.
They will remain open till 10 p.m. instead of 6 p.m., during the festival season, said Wang Xiaodong, vice-general manager of Beijing Post Co.
The Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year, falls on Jan 23 this year.
The ticket outlets, most of which are located in the suburbs, will help the migrant workers during the holiday period, Wang said.
