bankPittsburgh, Mar 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Bank of America has recently made a goof up that has left it red faced. The bank is facing a lawsuit filed by a Pennsylvania woman whose home was wrongly seized by the bank appointed agency. Moreover, they took away her parrot. The bank ordered an agency named Snyder Property Services to seize and take possession of the house as it suspected that the owner defaulted on paying loans. The agency did exactly what it was told. They snapped water supply to her home and disconnected power supply. Thereafter they forcibly took away her beloved parrot.

The lady, Angela Iannelli, was extremely enraged as anyone can imagine when she found that her home had been ransacked and property damaged after returning to her residence. She was even angrier as she did not default on the payment at all. She called up the bank and they confirmed the seizure of the house. The plaintiff wrote in her complaint that the officials of Bank of America made unnecessary delay in returning her beloved bird and she was harassed. She alleged in the lawsuit that the bank delayed the procedure.

The woman has also alleged that Bank of America lacks a foreclosure validity policy and failed to prevent a wrong seizure from happening. It was only after she sought the services of an attorney that the bank officials started offering her compensation for the damage done to her property. Bank of America has drawn flak earlier for foreclosing on wrong properties. However, the parrot Luke is back to the owner now. The bank has expressed its sincere apologies to the lady.
