The Online banking service was down for close to four hours in the afternoon. As expected this snag caused the customers to panic and they tried to find out what was wrong with the service. A majority of the Bank of America customers rely on the web based service to make transactions and inquiries but they could not simply log in to their accounts yesterday afternoon. It caused lot of inconvenience to them. The service was down for nearly all states in the USA. A BOA representative named Tara Burke said that the online service was down for some technical snag though the exact cause was not specified.

The bank based in Charlotte said that there is nothing to worry as its team was able to restore the online service by yesterday evening and everything was in shape. However, some customers of the bank said that even after the service was restored it worked quite sluggishly for some time. Luckily the ATMs and branches of the bank worked as usual and they were not affected at all by this snag. This made things a bit easier for the affected customers. The customers tried to reach the helpline of the bank and it was choked with calls during the time of the snag.

Later the Bank representatives tweeted saying that the customers can access the service. The latest update is that the site is working fine.
