Bajaj Auto sales up 25 percent
December 2nd, 2011 - 4:39 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 2 (IANS) Two- and three-wheeler major Bajaj Auto Friday reported 25 percent increase in sale at 3,74,477 units sold in November against 2,99,231 units sold during the like period of the previous financial year.
The firm clocked 42 percent higher exports for the month under review at 1,29,256 units from 90,869 units in the corresponding month of 2010, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Segment-wise sales the firm reported 25 percent growth in motorcycles sales at 3,31,967 units as compared to 2,65,036 units in November last year.
The commercial vehicles segment grew 24 percent at 42,510 units during the month under review against 34,195 units during the like period previous year.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange the shares of the company were 0.68 percent up to trade at Rs.1,715.
