On Tuesday Apple Inc reduced the price of its notebook computer to $999 and also introduced a line of aluminum-clad machines and the range starts from $1,299 in moves catering to budget-minded buyers due to then fear on the global economy. The shares of Apple, have risen about 20 percent ,since the company invited the reporters to a notebook event. The $999 price will only be for an updated model of the white-body notebooks and the new aluminum machines will use Nvidia Corp graphics and Intel Corp processors. During the event Apple unveiled eight new Apple MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air laptops.
Apple also rolled out an $899 24-inch wide display for the new MacBooks. The new MacBooks except for the entry-level model, which dropped the price from $1,099 to $999 and have the Nvidia GeForce 9400 M chip and have been redesigned with sleek aluminum and back-lit LED displays. Apple even offered Mac notebooks in two types, low-power MacBooks and a faster operating and more expensive MacBook Pros.
