Another weak start for Sensex

Mumbai, May 19 (IANS) A benchmark index of Indian equities markets Thursday was trading dull in early trade, slipping from its opening levels.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 18,166.64 points, was ruling at 18,137.64 points — up 51.44 points or 0.28 percent from its previous close at 18,086.2 points.
The 50-scrip S&P; CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was ruling at 5,434.9 points, up 0.26 percent.
Broader markets were ruling dull with the BSE midcap index ruling 0.21 percent up and the BSE smallcap index up 0.24 percent.
