Toyota Recall Washington DC, July 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The number one carmaker in the world - Toyota has announced plans to recall over 7,300 Toyota Camry 2010 model vehicles for problems that the customers have experienced with its braking system.

The problem can result with the car failing to stop when the pedal is pressed, as a result of the leakage of brake fluid in the car. 500,000 hybrid cars have already been pulled off the road by the Japanese carmaker. Akio Toyoda, who is the CEO of the company issued a statement saying that 437,000 Prius and Lexus cars have been recalled by the manufacturer. The company has recalled over nine million cars in the world already in the recent times, due to numerous problems and the Lexus cars are the latest in the series.

According to the reports filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Camry’s have a problem with the power steering tube. This tube is said to be too long and rubs another tube, which is on the left rear brake. This results in the wearing down of the brake tube, causing the brake fluid to leak.

There have also been reports about the steering of the Toyota Corollas made in 2009 and 2010 and the NHTSA has said it’s examining those reports.
