American Airlines to recall 250 pilots and 545 flight attendants

According to CNN reports, American Airlines is all set to recall hundreds of pilots and flight attendants. The recalling decision was taken after having a joint business meeting with several other airlines.

At the meeting it was decided that American Airlines will send recall notice to its 250 pilots and 545 flight attendants. The representative from the airline said that the recall process will initially begin with 225 flight attendants, who are to be recalled in the month of October and in mid-November 25 more pilots will be sent the recall notice.

The spokesperson from American airlines said that the decision was recently formed in joint partnership with British airways and the Spanish airlines. He added that the Japan Airlines have not yet sent their comments over the decision. He said the deal is pending from their end.

The chief executive of American airlines Gerard Arpey on his recent interview to the media said that he hope this process continues. And company’s stock’s are up in the market soon. He announced that several other routes will be launched in a month of April 2011. Flights from London to San Diego will also operate with British airways.
