In a regulatory filing, the Indian subsidiary of Sweden’s Alfa Laval group said it has won the order from PetroVietnam group for supply of equipment and engineering solutions for a proposed plant to produce 330,000 litres of ethanol daily.
“The order value is Rs.700 million and the plant is expected to go on stream during 2011,” the company said.
Alfa Laval is a global provider of specialised products and engineering solutions based on its key technologies of heat transfer, separation and fluid handling.
The PetroVietnam plant is part of the bio-fuel development programme ratified by the Vietnamese government last year aiming at partial replacement of traditional fuels with alternative fuels and renewable energy.
