AMSTELVEEN, NETHERLANDS (BNO NEWS) – Air France-KLM Group unveiled the third quarter results for the 2009-2010 financial year, the company announced on Wednesday at KLM’s headquarters in Amstelveen.

There were some signs of recovery as the revenues were better than in past quarters and the group recorded a net loss of 295 million euros, a 41.9% less than in 2008.

Overall, the third quarter results are better than last year’s. Despite recording less revenues they managed to cut operating and net loses. For the end of the four quarter the results are expected to be fairly similar to last year’s due to an expected increase in unit revenues, lower capacities and an increase of $300 million in the fuel bill.

Air France-KLM group has already announced their target for the next financial year. They plan a return to operation break-even by means of reducing costs, a slight progression in unit revenues and restructuring the cargo business.
