Lucknow, April 1 (IANS) Air Deccan launched its first ever direct flight between Lucknow and Mumbai from Monday, the company announced here Tuesday. “This was among the 18 new flights introduced by the once low-cost airline,” said a press release issued by Air Deccan officiating CEO Ramki Sundaram.
Besides providing direct air connectivity between several sectors, the airline has added Jorhat to its map for the first time.
Significantly, against its earlier policy of “no refunds” and provision for only travel coupons in exchange, the airline has decided to introduce a new facility for cancellation of tickets. Cash refunds will be made to the passengers now.
“Guests can now cancel a ticket up to four hours prior to flight departure against a cancellation fee of Rs.750 together with a transaction fee of five percent of basic fare,” said the release.
There will be no cancellation fee for infants, it added.
