Air Arabia takes off to Najaf
June 6th, 2010 - 6:43 pm ICT by IANSSharjah, June 6 (IANS/WAM) Air Arabia has announced launching of its service from Sharjah to the Iraqi city of Najaf.
Najaf is the first destination of the low-cost carrier in Iraq. Flights between the two cities now will operate twice a week starting June 8.
With the addition of this new destination, the airline now serves 64 routes from three hubs in UAE, Morocco and Egypt.
“The launch of direct service to Najaf, our first destination in Iraq, marks another milestone in Air Arabia’s history. Iraq has great potential as a destination for business and personal travellers, as well as long-term growth potential for religious and cultural tourism,” said Sherif Attia, chief operating officer of Air Arabia’s Sharjah hub.
