Chennai, March 7 (IANS) Hatsun Agro Product Ltd (HAPL), one of the country’s leading private dairy firms, has roped in actress Nadia as the brand ambassador for its premium milk brand Arokya. Nadia will be featured in a series of new campaigns to be launched by the company from Saturday, C.S. Balaji, general manager, marketing and exports, HAPL, told reporters here Friday.
Speaking on the selection of the new brand ambassador, he said Nadia was perceived as modern, smart and having a healthy outlook on different issues.
Arokya’s new campaign revolves on the theme of a modern young mother and her outlook to issues faced by her children.
Speaking to IANS, Nadia said the role she played in Tamil movie M. Saravanan s/o Mahalakshmi as a strong but a friendly single mother might have had a positive rub on the company’s decision in choosing her.
Her contract with HAPL is for one year. HAPL sells around 1.1 million litres of Arokya milk per day.
“Refreshing the media campaign at regular intervals and having a new brand ambassador is part of keeping the brand fresh,” Balaji said.
Nadia entered the Tamil cine field several years ago and has been the fashion trendsetter amongst the youngsters since then.
“I could relate myself easily to an Arokya mother. A child’s success depends on the quality time a mom spends and the right choices she makes in nurturing the child’s body and mind,” she added.
HAPL has two more milk brands - Hatsun Komatha and Santosa.
