Abu Dhabi, Oct 14 (IANS/WAM) An uninterrupted supply of goods within the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will be discussed at a summit here next week.

The third edition of Supply Chain Conference organised by the Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical Association (GPCA) will be held at the InterContinental Hotel Abu Dhabi Oct 18-20.

Over 300 professionals from the GCC region and the world are expected to participate.

“The Gulf region’s share of petrochemical and chemical total output is currently 16 percent and this will grow to 20 percent by 2015,” said Abdulwahab Al Sadoun, secretary general of GPCA.

“This growth has been buoyed by the quick development of a world-class supply chain industry in the Gulf region,” he said.

“This massive expansion within such a short timeframe will certainly create opportunities as well as challenges.”

“Delegates at this high-level conference can look forward to discussion by industry leaders who will provide their vision on the latest developments in the industry,” he added.
