Abu Dhabi hosts industry meet
December 19th, 2011 - 12:01 am ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Dec 18 (IANS/WAM) A business forum was organised here Sunday to discuss industrial growth in the emirate, the organisers said.
Government agencies, banks and over 45 companies in the emirate participated in the Industrialists Networking Forum organised by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development.
Adeeb Al Afifi, director of Foreign Trade and Exports Supporting at the Department of Economic Development, said: “It (forum) adopts an approach based on contacts with the industrialists, in coordination with the stakeholders to ensure maintaining an ideal environment for the industrial sector revival.”
He said Abu Dhabi’s non-oil exports during January-September increased by 11.5 percent to about 9 billion dirhams compared to the corresponding period last year.
