Abu Dhabi hosts energy summit

Abu Dhabi, Jan 20 (IANS/WAM) The UAE foreign ministry’s directorate of energy and climate change has participated at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) here.

A pavilion featuring the role of the directorate was set up at the conference, lastb week. Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other officials visited the pavilion. Foreign visitors included UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and Iceland President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson.

WFES offered an excellent opportunity to share the latest energy initiatives among the representatives of domestic and foreign governments, industry, NGOs and academia, officials said.
