Abu Dhabi airport witnesses record passenger turnout
January 26th, 2012 - 12:54 am ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Jan 25 (IANS/WAM) The Abu Dhabi International Airport registered about 14 percent growth in passenger traffic during 2011 as compared to 2010.
According to Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) performance report released Wednesday, the airport welcomed 12.4 million passengers, marking a record number for the Capital’s gateway.
Cargo traffic was also witnessed a rise recording 481,500 tonnes, an increase of 10 percent in comparison to 2010.
ADAC’s ongoing investment in improving the airport facilities and its comprehensive airline marketing strategy have attracted new airlines and encouraged existing airlines to expand their services to Abu Dhabi.
