About 2,800 quintals sugar seized in Chhattisgarh
January 18th, 2010 - 10:33 pm ICT by IANSRaipur, Jan 18 (IANS) Nearly 2,800 quintals sugar was seized here Monday from two store houses amid rising prices, Food Controller D. Minj said.
Minj told reporters that the owners of both places did not have valid papers for storing such a huge stock of sugar.
The raids, which covered different cities across the state, is part of the state government’s drive against hoarders.
