AARP To Provide Tax Advices

taxFeb 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The free AARP-Tax Aide Service will be providing free tax related aids to the people. The endeavor will start from February 2, to continue till April 15. Many volunteers have been appointed to provide free advices to the aid seekers from all income and age groups.

The volunteers would be providing the help, based on first come first serve basis. However, the senior citizens will have to take appointments from before hand, by calling up at their front desk number or the Community Senior Center, in order to take help from the tax volunteers at Council on Aging. AARP Tax-Aide volunteers providers are now considered as the certified tax preparer, who aim to assist taxpayers absolutely free of cost and therefore one can easily rely upon their honesty, advices and dedication. Before starting their services, these volunteers have to undergo atleast 100 hours of training program so that they do not commit any mistakes while executing their services. The organization started with just four volunteers, when they first took up the cause in the year 1968. Since then, they have come a long way, to become the biggest free tax advisors in the nation, who have helped more than 50 million taxpayers in total.

The sessions will take place at the Anastasia Island Library, Hastings Library, Council on Aging, Ponte Vedra Players Community Senior Center, The main library and the Southeast Library. AARP will make all the personal returns except for rental property owners and depreciation for businesses. The help seekers should bring certain tax related documents with them, like, 2009 tax return, 1099 forms, W-2 forms etc. Interested candidates can call up in their front desk number 823-4810.
