Dec.13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) PostSecret, a unique project that collected various anonymous secrets from various parts of the world has been published as a book. It was a brainchild of Frank Warren. He started gathering the secrets 5 years back from various sources. He has got more than 400,000 post cards till date and all of them contain a secret. Now he has published the book and owns a site on the project. There are some light secrets in the book but one can also find some of the crude and sinister samples on its pages. Warren feels every human being has some secrets and they can range between joyful, funny, dangerous and uncanny. After going through thousands of secrets, he has started looking at life from a different perspective.
A lot of the people who sent their secrets in postcards to Warren chose to hide their names. Warren said that some of the senders were not happy when they came to know that the secrets will be compiled in a book. The book has received mixed reactions from the senders.
Some people are thrilled about it while a lot of the senders are plain scared. The senders wanted to share their secrets with someone but did not find anyone trustworthy. Warren’s project gave them the chance to lighten their mind without letting the world know. Warren also said that he was quite overwhelmed when he found that so many people trusted him and shared their secrets with him that they hid from everyone else. He also finds it weird that people can have so many varieties of secrets.
