Dec 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) There are a lot of people who love pets like cats and dogs. However, how many of them feel that their furry cats need a message? It is what Maryjean Ballner firmly believes in. That is why she has written a book named “Your Cat Wants a Massage” meant for the cat lovers and owners. She appeared last night on “Late Show with David Letterman”. She has written several books on pet care and they are immensely liked by the cat and dog lovers. While many people may laugh at the idea of giving massage to cats, Maryjean Ballner insists that it becomes absolutely necessary in some cases. Cats have a habit of licking their whole body with tongue and it keeps them clean. However, they cannot clean the chin and sometimes they develop acne in the area. Therefore, the cat owners can give their pets chin massage using damp towel. It produces good result. The cats with long fur may suffer from this problem otherwise.

Maryjean Ballner is an avid animal lover and is known as a certified massage therapist. She graduated from Manhattan’s Swedish Institute for Massage Therapy in 1983. She also made videotapes for giving massage to cats and dogs. In her writings and videotapes, she provides step by step instructions to the readers on what to do while giving a message to their pets. Cats are sensitive animals and they do not like getting rubbed in certain parts of their body.
